Effective immediately, the program of the specialist for alignment technology and accident repair Josam, with its German location in Schleswig-Holstein, also offers a new hydraulic lift unit from Wallmek. This facilitates ergonomic work in work environments with heavy tools. Like Josam, Wallmek is also headquartered in Sweden and manufactures, among other things, hydraulic tools for chassis work in commercial vehicle workshops. The range of applications extends from passenger cars to light and heavy trucks and buses.

350 Kilogram Lift Capacity

The new tool in Josam's portfolio is designed to make handling heavy equipment easier for mechanics, particularly in commercial vehicle workshops, which also enhances safety in the work environment.

According

to Josam, for example, kingpins can be effortlessly replaced. The lift unit, which is mounted on four wheels, contains an integrated hydraulic pump with a "guaranteed" lifting capacity of up to 350 kilograms.

Ergonomic

The tool, such as a press frame, is fixed to the adjustable lifting arm of the mobile unit and then simply pushed to the appropriate spot for replacing the kingpins. The solution includes a tool holder for hub disassembly and can thus help effortlessly detach the hub. Josam reports:

"Heavy hubs with brake discs or hubs with dual wheels in combination with brake drums are ergonomically and safely removed from the vehicle and reinstalled."

According to

the information, the development of the work aid ensured that even hard-to-reach areas of the vehicle become easily accessible. "Mechanics no longer have to contort themselves to mount and operate heavy equipment in an ergonomically challenging body posture." The device can thus support heavy work on trucks, trailers, semi-trailers, or buses and relieve technicians of a considerable workload, promoting an ergonomic way of working.

Enhanced Occupational Safety

Maximum flexibility and good maneuverability are ensured by the four swivel wheels, which are supposed to withstand very high loads. To keep the work aid in place, the front wheels can be locked.

In addition to the increased occupational safety through ergonomic practicability,

the facilitated handling also promotes more efficient work, i.e., faster work, Josam emphasizes. Moreover, the lift unit can be combined with additional accessories and tools. The tare weight of the hydraulic work aid is stated to be 95 kilograms.

Josam Richttechnik, based in Henstedt-Ulzburg, is specialized in the distribution of work equipment for truck and commercial vehicle workshops and is one of the leading direct distributors of the axle measurement and frame alignment systems of the Swedish manufacturer Josam, a brand of the American tool manufacturer Snap-on-Incorporated.
