The Mannheim-based purchasing cooperation Carat is launching a new initiative together with the "Schrauberblog" to showcase the innovation potential in daily workshop life. Under the motto "From Workbench to Market Readiness," Carat is calling on car and commercial vehicle workshops to submit their own developments, ideas, and tools—particularly those which have not yet found a place in the market but significantly ease daily work.
Clever self-made constructions, original problem solutions, or optimized aids with potential for the entire industry beyond mere individual application are being sought. The best entries will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on their degree of innovation, practicality, and benefit. Particularly promising concepts
can be further developed together with industry partners—a possible step towards series production readiness.
Valuable Prizes and Presentation at MSX'25
Highlight of the initiative: The three most convincing ideas will not only receive attractive prizes from industry partners like Hazet, Hella Gutmann, and ATH Heinl but will also be presented to a large professional audience at MSX'25. The new industry platform will take place in October 2025 at the CCH Hamburg and will gather over 100 exhibitors, expert lectures, practical areas, and networking opportunities on more than 10,000 square meters focusing on the workshop market.
All workshop professionals can participate, regardless of whether they belong to a Carat partner
workshop. The submission deadline is August 31, 2025. Further information and participation conditions are available online at carat-automotive.de/msx-werkstattxperte.
With this initiative, Carat, together with Schrauberblog, aims not only to honor the innovative power of workshops but also to provide concrete impulses for the further development of the Independent Aftermarket.
