A wealth of solutions is offered for the equipment of light commercial vehicles. Imbema has specialized in safety and comfort components. The Dutch company's program includes van locks, roof ventilators, rear step ladders, and solar modules. At the Nufam commercial vehicle fair, from September 25 to 28 in Karlsruhe, Imbema will showcase a selection of its portfolio at its own stand. As a trade fair promotion, potential dealers of the company will receive an Easy Aero roof ventilator.
Imbema is committed to intelligent solutions in the areas of safety, sustainability, and comfort for light commercial vehicles and has been developing products for vans at its headquarters near Rotterdam for 75 years that are distributed worldwide. The focus is particularly on safety:

according to the website. Own research and development departments have the necessary testing facilities and the needed equipment for assembly and repair. Transporter fitters can find intelligent solutions in the program “that not only guarantee margin but also provide customers with clear

Easy Aero - Roof Ventilator
The Easy Aero is presented as one of the highlights at the fair. Roof ventilators make particular sense in Germany: here these components are required when transporting dangerous goods, as the provider emphasizes. But even without this requirement, the components mounted in the middle of the roof are helpful in discharging condensation, poor air, and heat from the vehicle. Finally, increased humidity in the vehicle can also impact equipment. Good ventilation can counteract this.
Imbema has developed its Easy-Aero itself and designed it so that there are no moving parts on the outside – “this makes it less susceptible than conventional solutions.” Thanks to the Venturi function for water extraction, the necessary holes in the vehicle floor for a bottom drain are eliminated – "Ideal for transporters with E-drives, where the floor often must not be drilled through." The Easy Aero, it is stated, guarantees continuous air exchange throughout the cargo area. An electric version is also available for vehicles that are often stationary.
Secure closure with Gatelock
The other three product areas also find a platform at the exhibition stand. For securing the cargo area, for example,
the “Gatelock” solution has proven itself for fleet operators and courier services for years: an “extremely robust and visible lock” that can be attached to the rear and side doors of vans. The criminal-deterring robustness of the Gatelock is created by a steel casing with a hardened surface, on which most burglary tools fail, according to the manufacturer. The solution is available for various purposes in several sizes and designs. An electronic variant includes a contactless NFC (Near Field Communication) locking system. Vehicle-specific kits facilitate assembly.
Easy step with Easy Step
The Easy Step rear step ladders, which are intended to make loading and unloading the cargo area easier with a lower step, are also available in different versions – according to the manufacturer, these are stable and durable products suitable for almost any type of van. Variants enable combination with a tow bar. No changes are required to the chassis or the bumper for installation – “a quick, secure solution for drivers who need to get in and out daily.”
Power from the sun: Solar modules for transporters
The company's thin, flexible Green Energy solar modules are installed in wide strips on the roof, can generate electricity
for the transporter's battery even in diffused light, and also keep battery-powered tools ready for use. Suitable applications include use on construction sites or in service vehicles. The provider highlights the advantages: “less fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions, and less idling.” Imbema has calculated a fuel saving of up to 6.9 percent for the modules, whose installation takes about four hours. The solar mats are available in two versions: 160 Wp (2 x 80 Wp) for simple lighting, roof ventilators, and small 230V devices, and 165 Wp (3 x 55 Wp) for heavy equipment use. According to the manufacturer, solar module sets for trucks or trailers are also available upon request.

The company aims to offer partner workshops precise and easy-to-install products whose durability matches the lifespan of the vehicle. Imbema partners are supported in terms of delivery, technical advice, and support by a personal contact person. “This makes planning processes easier and ensures a convincing end result – whether it’s a single vehicle or an entire fleet.”
