The tool specialist Wera has added a Lock version to its Click-Torque torque wrench. The new model features a switchable torque function. If this is deactivated, the wrench can also be used for assembly and disassembly work without a torque limit.
By using it in combined use as a torque
wrench and conventional ratchet tool, the range of applications expands. According to the manufacturer, the tool is suitable, among other things, for work on wheels, industrial motors, or in pipeline construction.
As with the previous Click-Torque models, the wrench emits an audible and tactile click when the set torque is
reached. The torque value is set via the handle and displayed on two scales. The fine scale shows standard-compliant intermediate values, each of which is confirmed by an additional click. The displays are easy to read, according to Wera.
The new Click-Torque-Lock range is available in versions for right-hand operation
as well as in R/L configurations for right- and left-hand operation. The ratchet mechanism has 45 teeth; switching between tightening and loosening is done via a lever on the ratchet head. The models cover torque ranges from 2.5 to 25 Nm, and—in the larger C3 versions—from 40 to 200 Nm.
