The specialist for fastening materials and workshop equipment has good news. According to a recent press release from the Baden-Württemberg company, the preliminary business results for the first half of 2025 suggest a "return to a growth mode." In the past year 2024, Würth, as reported, still had to accept slight sales losses. However, the current developments, according to the announcement, indicate a "slight sense of optimism."

In the key figures, the Würth Group increased its sales in the first half of 2025 by 2.2 percent to 10.4 billion euros. The operating result for these first six months

was 475 million euros. And of the currently 87,198 employees worldwide, about 1.6 percent turned their backs on the company.

Compared to the same period last year, the first half of 2024, the Würth Group thus increased its sales by around 200 million euros from 10.2 to 10.4 billion euros. However, the operating result fell by 9.5 percent from 525 million euros to now 475 million euros. And the number of employees decreased from 88,616 in the first half of 2024 to now 87,198 employees.

For comparison, the results of the entire 2024 fiscal year: here the group

reported a revenue of 20.2 billion euros and an operating result of 940 million euros.

In view of the slightly improved figures, the Würth Group is cautiously optimistic:

"In general, the business climate seems to be brightening somewhat despite the erratic U.S. economic policy. The incoming orders in recent weeks in the group indicate an acceleration of growth in the second half of 2025. The Würth Group approaches the coming months with initially subdued optimism."

Without more specific details, the press report announces that the measures initiated by the new federal government have "spread a certain sense of

optimism" in the overall German economy. According to the company's assessment, this policy could "quickly dispel the previous pessimism and dissatisfaction among the population."
