Marcus Vitt is to become a member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktiengesellschaft (HHLA) as of 1 October 2025. The company announced this in early September in a press release. He succeeds Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube, who will resign from the Supervisory Board on 30 September 2025. Also Senator Dr. Andreas Dressel and Katharina Kriston are to assume Supervisory Board mandates.

Besides Grube, the previous representatives of the City of Hamburg,
Andreas Rieckhof (State Councillor of the Economic Authority) and Dr. Sibylle Roggencamp (Head of the Office for Participation Management in the Authority for Finance and Districts), will also leave the HHLA Supervisory Board as of 30 September 2025.
In coordination with the Nomination Committee of the HHLA Supervisory Board, besides Marcus Vitt (Chairman of the Hamburg Stock Exchange Council), Senator Dr. Andreas Dressel (President of the Authority for Finance and Districts) and Katharina Kriston (Head of the Central Office of the Authority
for Economy, Labour and Innovation) will join the Supervisory Board as of 1 October 2025. The court appointment of the three new members will be sought promptly.
The Supervisory Board of HHLA consists of twelve members and is parity-based. The six representatives of the employees are determined according to the rules of the Co-Determination Act. The City of Hamburg and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company each have a right to nominate three Supervisory Board members, with the chair of the body being proposed
