The companies TachoEasy AG, based in Rohrdorf, and Zauner software office from Heusenstamm, have, as they themselves put it, developed a new category of software. Under the name Tachomatik, the first two products LEA.fix and LEA.dynamics are now available in Germany and Austria.
The programs are based on existing archiving systems for digital tachographs. They would enable advanced analytics and visualization features that go beyond the legally mandated storage of vehicle, driver, and tour data, the two companies say. Fleet operators should, among other things, be able
to plan driver training more precisely, design routes more efficiently, and detect violations at an early stage.
Preparation for regulatory inspections
A central field of operation of the software is violation and penalty management. Based on the analyzed data, the providers explain, fleet operators can take measures to prepare for regulatory inspections. The programs should indicate which routes frequently lead to violations, at what times the risks are particularly high, and when qualification measures for drivers pay off. The accuracy of the analyses increases with the amount
of available tachograph data.
Independence from fleet size and industry
For the deployment of the new software solutions, no separate fleet-management system is required. Only a digital tachograph and a market-standard archiving software are required. This makes usage independent of fleet size, vehicle types, cargo, or industry affiliation.

Background of the developers
The Zauner software office was founded in 1981, currently employs 20 staff, and since 2017 has been a 100 percent subsidiary of TachoEasy AG. The company offers for archiving digital and analog tachograph data the software solution zaarc.next. In addition, the portfolio includes the modular solution Zamik for workshop organization, vehicle and fuel data management, warehouse management, cost analysis and fleet control. Since 2017 Zauner also offers the dispatch and telematics solution Bluelogico with the mobile application
