Jungheinrich, a solutions provider for intralogistics, and Merantix announced a strategic partnership on May 5th. The aim of the cooperation is to promote applications based on artificial intelligence (AI) in the industry, as reported by Jungheinrich.
As part of the partnership, Jungheinrich is investing five million euros in the AI fund of Merantix Capital. The fund invests in AI-native start-ups that develop scalable solutions for the challenges of the industry and other
sectors such as healthcare, finance, and manufacturing.

The focus of the strategic partnership is on AI investment
opportunities in Europe, particularly in core areas such as robotics, sustainability, enterprise AI, energy, and logistics. Possible specific use cases of the collaboration include solutions for analyzing used lithium-ion batteries or for warehouse simulation with the aim of optimizing material flow.

According to the information, the partnership with Merantix complements existing activities by Jungheinrich in the field of corporate venture capital.
