As a certified solution provider, Ludwigsburg-based management and IT consultancy MHP has committed to supporting suppliers in connecting to the Catena-X data ecosystem. With its certified solution and comprehensive consulting portfolio, MHP is part of the so-called "Readiness Booster Program" of Catena-X, according to a press release. MHP supports the onboarding initiative for suppliers of all OEMs that have committed to integrating selected suppliers into the data ecosystem.
This year, Catena-X e.V. has set a target of over 1,000 new suppliers. These companies will be connected to the network, enabling them to share and exchange data with other OEMs and suppliers, thereby strengthening the global community in the data ecosystem. Suppliers of the Volkswagen Group also have the opportunity
to collaborate with MHP to connect to the collaborative data network.
Data Exchange Along the Automotive Supply Chain
Frank Goeller, Program Director Catena-X@Volkswagen Group and Member of the Board Catena-X e.V.:
"Suppliers and OEMs must be able to exchange data securely, standardized, and compliant along the automotive value chain – not least due to growing regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines. Catena-X provides valuable standards with specific, actionable use cases for this purpose. MHP, as a solution provider, is an important pillar of the project for the Volkswagen Group."
Officially, MHP has been listed as a certified Enablement Service Provider of the Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. innovation network since May 2025. At the same time, the management and IT consultancy
is actively involved as a Cofinity-X member – Cofinity-X is the operating company for the Catena-X data space, providing a marketplace for apps and services in addition to ensuring operations. One solution is the Eclipse Dataspace Connector (EDC) "as a Service" developed by MHP – a key technology that enables secure and standardized access to data in the data ecosystem, thus promoting collaborative data utilization along industrial value chains.
Markus Wambach, Group COO at MHP:
"As a certified and qualified consultant, we actively contribute to the successful development and establishment of this forward-looking initiative with our expertise. This is important for the future of data-driven ecosystems, which can unlock enormous efficiency potentials. We can support Volkswagen, its suppliers, and
other companies in purposefully exploiting the potentials of data-based value creation and making them sustainably usable – thus making a measurable contribution to the success and further development of Catena-X."
