Aral and Amazon have agreed on a partnership to install lockers from which packages can be picked up at selected company-owned gas stations. According to a press release dated July 31, around 30 "Amazon Lockers" have already been installed at Aral gas stations across Germany, with more to follow. The first Amazon Locker at a company-owned gas station has now been installed at the Aral gas station Rheinlanddamm 103 in Dortmund, according to the cooperation partners. With around 2,400 gas stations, Aral claims to be the largest provider

in the German gas station market. The installation of Amazon Lockers at Aral gas stations is intended to offer Amazon customers additional flexibility in receiving their deliveries. The agreement complements the ongoing collaboration between the two companies in efficient fleet management and the use of Aral pulse's truck charging infrastructure.

According to the announcement, Amazon Locker allows Amazon customers to have their orders sent to a secure pickup location of their choice: Customers first choose an Amazon Locker location near them. After ordering,

they receive a shipping confirmation via email. This email contains all important information on how to open the locker and pick up the package. Depending on the location, customers need a code, a barcode, or the Amazon Shopping app for this.

"Our collaboration with Aral to install Amazon Lockers at their gas stations is another example of our customer-centric approach. By utilizing Aral's extensive network, we are significantly expanding the possibilities for our customers to conveniently pick up their packages," says Rocco Bräuniger, Country Manager DACH at Amazon.

"This collaboration not only strengthens our logistics infrastructure but also aligns with our long-term strategy to seamlessly integrate into the daily lives of our customers."

"Gas stations are an important mobility hub today and in the future. The cooperation with Amazon is another step to expand our service offerings at Aral gas stations," says Achim Bothe, CEO of Aral AG, about the collaboration. "At our central and conveniently located sites, we already have around 180 package stations from various providers in operation, and we are now planning further
