The Lufthansa Cargo subsidiary CB Customs Broker and Heyworld will be merged into a single company as of January 1, 2026. Lufthansa Cargo AG recently announced this. Both companies will thus pool their expertise in the areas of customs clearance and eCommerce transport solutions.

CB Customs Broker specializes in all areas of EU customs clearance, while Heyworld operates a digital logistics platform for cross-border eCommerce shipments. Through the merger, an integrated offering is created that combines transport, customs clearance, and digital control in a single solution.

“The merger of CB Customs Broker and Heyworld represents an important milestone in our strategic direction, to go beyond

traditional airport-to-airport solutions. By combining their complementary strengths and competencies, we are creating a unique offering in cross-border parcel logistics – an offering that further strengthens our market position and enables us to provide our customers with greater value and greater precision,” said Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo AG. “In recent years, both companies have contributed significantly to the success and growth of Lufthansa Cargo in this dynamic segment through entrepreneurial thinking and innovation.”

Expanded services for international customers

The aim of the merger, according to the company, is to create a one-stop offering for cross-border logistics solutions at the parcel level. High-volume shippers

should in the future benefit from an expanded service portfolio that improves speed, transparency, and efficiency along the entire supply chain.

Lufthansa Cargo describes the merger as an important milestone in its strategic orientation to go beyond classic airport-to-airport solutions and to strengthen its market position in the parcel logistics segment.

Dual leadership and management restructuring

The management of the new company will be headed by Murat Odabas, previously managing director of CB Customs Broker, and Nikola Todic, managing director of Heyworld. Both leaders, according to Lufthansa Cargo, are committed to a smooth integration and continued excellent customer service.

“I look forward to bringing both

teams together to ensure seamless operations and to further develop tailored, innovative logistics solutions for our customers,” said Murat Odabas.

As Lufthansa Cargo further announced, Uwe Glunz, previously managing director of CB Customs Broker, and Boris Hueske, managing director of Heyworld GmbH, will take on new roles within the corporate group.

Step toward an integrated logistics platform

By bundling the two companies, Lufthansa Cargo aims to leverage synergies between customs and transport processes and to create a one-stop offering for cross-border logistics solutions at the parcel level.
