The Blitz Distribution GmbH is the new tenant at Garbe Industrial in Werne, North Rhine-Westphalia (Unna district). The e-commerce company is a subsidiary of GigaCloud Technology Inc., a provider of global end-to-end B2B technology solutions for online trading with large-scale goods. Blitz Distribution will use around 37,000 square meters of hall space as well as about 1,000 square meters of office and social space in Werne to handle the fulfillment of online orders for furniture, household, and fitness equipment, Garbe

Industrial announced to the press at the end of July.

"The quick re-letting after a tenant change shows that high-quality logistics spaces in attractive locations remain in demand even in a currently challenging market environment," said Hans-Jürgen Blanke, Regional Director of Real Estate Management at Garbe Industrial.

According to the announcement, the location is an important strategic expansion for the online retailer to expand the group's fulfillment capacities in Germany and at the same time support cross-border distribution and growth

in Europe. BNP Paribas Real Estate Düsseldorf acted as an intermediary in the letting process.

The rented logistics spaces, equipped with 30 gates for rapid goods turnover, are part of the logistics area of Garbe Industrial in the Werne industrial area Wahrbrink. The real estate company took over the former Ikea site there in 2018, with a total area of 295,000 square meters, refurbished it and created new building spaces with a total size of more than 123,000 square meters

which have been leased. Additionally, during the revitalization, a property with a total area of 45,000 square meters was preserved, which is used by logistics and production companies.

As with all project developments, Garbe Industrial placed particular emphasis on sustainability for the new building spaces. Both newly constructed buildings are certified to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
