Logistics properties remain among the most attractive asset classes for investors. According to the international consulting firm JLL, the investment market for logistics properties in Germany picked up slightly in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter. The transaction volume in the first half of 2025 amounted to nearly 2.3 billion euros. In the comparison of asset classes, logistics thus ranks fourth. Therefore, the topic of logistics properties will once again have a visible presence at EXPO REAL 2025, the international trade fair for real estate
and investments taking place at the Munich exhibition center from October 6 to 8, 2025, the fair announced in a press release on August 6.
“The global geopolitical uncertainties are causing a strong increase in interest in domestic locations,” says Claudia Boymanns, Exhibition Director of EXPO REAL. “Nearshoring, the relocation of production and services to nearby regions, is currently a major topic in logistics because it forms the basis for secure supply chains and fast delivery times. High-quality locations in Germany as well as countries like Poland, Romania, or
the Iberian Peninsula particularly benefit from this.”
Visitors interested in logistics will find what they are looking for especially in Hall A3, where most developers of logistics properties exhibit.
At EXPO REAL 2025, providers, experts, and investors from around the world will discuss innovative solutions to further improve investment conditions for logistics buildings. “Logistics buildings are better than their reputation,” said the EXPO REAL chief. “Modern energy supply and storage solutions make many logistics centers significant regional producers of renewable energies.” The federal government's infrastructure program is also expected
to be a crucial topic within the logistics community at this year's fair.
The growing importance of the logistics sector for the real estate industry is also reflected in the event program of EXPO REAL. The Logistics Property Initiative (Logix) will once again act as an advocate for the numerous advantages of logistics properties, organizing several discussion rounds under the label “Let’s talk Logistics” at the fair. Additionally, a business lunch specifically for municipal representatives and economic promoters has been initiated to strengthen the dialogue with these important partners
