The intralogistics specialist Expresso places particular emphasis on ergonomics in its lifting and transport systems, as he stressed in a press release for FACHPACK 2025, which opens its doors from September 23 to 25. At the trade fair stand, alongside the electric handling system “eBalanceLift ARM” and the IoT solution “EXPRESSO Connect,” two mobile lifting devices are in focus: the affordable “lift2move selective” and the individually configurable “lift2move solution.” Both variants are “Made in Germany” and are currently used in many industries as ergonomic and efficiency-enhancing system solutions for grabbing, lifting, loading/unloading and transporting loads.

Depending on whether they are used in assembly, production or storage, they serve as goods carriers, transport means, picking tools, or positioning aids for the safe handling of containers, components, tools, packages and more. While the inexpensive lift2move selective is available for payloads of up to 125 or 200 kilograms in three sizes each, primarily to handle standard tasks, the lift2move solution is configured individually according to the customer’s specifications. All variants of the lift2move selective can be ordered

via Expresso's webshop at fixed prices; the lift2move solution, however, is implemented after a needs analysis together with the customer. “Here it is about choosing the optimal load attachments, about constructive details, about aspects of ergonomic workplace design, about prospects for further process optimization or also about the integration of our digital IoT system EXPRESSO Connect,” said Oliver Stauch-Vaupel, Business Unit Director Dynamic at Expresso.

Great flexibility is offered to Expresso customers with the lift2move solution, which is designed as a versatile system solution. It provides leeway for adapting to different tasks and can be integrated via digital interfaces into Industry 4.0 environments. The model range here includes three single-mast variants with load capacities of up to 250 kilograms and a double-mast variant for loads weighing up to 400 kilograms. All models can be combined with differently dimensioned wheel assemblies, and the electrically operated lifting mast can accommodate numerous special or tailor-made load attachments.

Consequently, the lift2move solution can be tailored to product- as well as process-specific needs – as a lifting and tilting

system, as a turning and holding system, as a gripping and turning unit, as an infeed and outfeed solution or also as a conveying device for internal intra-company pickup and delivery services. “Even when targeted shelf loading, precise approaches to workbenches or repeatedly accurate handling of workpiece carriers are required, the workflows can be designed ergonomically and efficiently with a tailored lift2move solution,” explained Stauch-Vaupel.

The lift2move solution also has compact, light Flyweight battery packs (lithium iron phosphate) with a status indicator and a sensor-based fault diagnosis with visual signaling that informs the user about operating disturbances or operator errors. Optionally there is Vertical Position Control for automatic engagement of up to eight freely programmable mast positions and additional accessories: a mast-attached lift travel limit, a mechanical lift travel extension and a telescopic mast, with which the lift travel can be increased without changing the overall height of the system.

The lift2move solution always has a completely steel-fabricated chassis, which gives it a stable static and good maneuverability. A long wheelbase improves stability, and

a tall mast base provides the undercarriage with high torsional rigidity. The chassis also includes four steering rollers, with the front pair lockable. “All of this benefits the ergonomics and usability of the lifting device and makes it a powerful system solution in the service of process optimization – even under higher requirements for load capacity,” said Stauch-Vaupel.

Expresso offers the lift2move selective at entry prices of under 5,000 euros. For this, the customer, according to the supplier, receives a universally usable system with a low-maintenance screw-drive for the lifting mechanism, a sensor-controlled safety system, a height-adjustable push handle and a foot brake bar with three operating modes (brake fixed, in travel direction locked or released). The lifting/lowering speed of the lifting carriage can be individually adjusted in two pre-set and six freely selectable steps via remote control. A tool-free swappable Powerpack battery (18 ampere-hours) is part of the standard equipment. The chassis has four steering rollers and, thanks to low-mounted front rollers, a ground clearance of only 88 millimeters.
