Segbert, a provider of logistics solutions for the printing and packaging industry, is putting its robotics and palletizing solutions in the spotlight at this year’s FACHPACK (September 23–25 in Nuremberg). The company announced this ahead of the trade fair.

On site, for example Segbert's mobile cobot "CPA-30" can be seen. The robot, weighing around 30 kilograms, is not permanently installed

according to the provider, but is mobile via a high-lift pallet truck and serves palletizing and depalletizing of goods.

According to Segbert, the moment sensors integrated into the cobot ensure precise collision monitoring, which is why the CPA-30 can be installed even without a safety fence and is thus particularly compact. If the cobot is equipped with the fence designed

by Segbert, it can palletize almost twice as fast. The fence is foldable and can be moved with the machine.

Visitors to the trade fair can experience how the CPA-30 works in practice on-site in a special live demonstration. Recently, the company implemented a palletizing solution around the CPA-30 at the pen manufacturer Uma. There, three of the cobots will

be deployed in the future.

Real-world example

At its booth Segbert, together with the also-displayed model GPA-25, presents a palletizing–depalletizing simulation as used at Uma – including many features of Segbert's software solution RobAdmin. This not only controls the robot but also automatically calculates and manages the layer images based on the product dimensions, according to the company.
