The med.Logistica 2025 focused on the hospital of the future from May 6 to 7, 2025, and reported significant increases at the conclusion: At the international congress with trade fair, 1,270 professional visitors exchanged ideas with 126 exhibitors and 120 speakers from a total of twelve countries, according to a press release on May 8. The focus was primarily on robotics, automation, and the use of artificial intelligence. The eighth med.Logistica has solidified its role as the leading industry meeting for clinical logisticians in the DACH region, concluded the organizing Leipzig Trade Fair.

“The med.Logistica records a year of records and has significantly increased its diversity in the exhibition and congress program compared to the previous event. The high interest

in the med.Logistica shows that process optimization in hospitals is gaining more and more importance. Efficiency improvement is the answer to cost pressure while simultaneously meeting the growing demand for care in an aging society,” says Martin Buhl-Wagner, Managing Director of the Leipzig Trade Fair.

From procurement through in-house personnel, material, and information flows to disposal, the event was dedicated to the central topics of process management in hospitals. In the exhibition, 126 exhibitors presented their products and services. Highlights in the exhibition, according to the organizer, were the joint stand of the Danish-German Hospital Alliance and the start-up area with twelve companies.

Resilience and Optimization Pressure

The 120 speakers covered a wide range of topics tailored to the requirements

of hospital management with their presentations and best-practice examples.

“The med.Logistica impressively confirms its position as the leading industry meeting for process optimization in clinics. Given the increasing optimization pressure in healthcare, the event is of utmost relevance and offers valuable impulses for participants. The exchange across borders opens up perspectives for necessary optimization approaches,” says project director Philipp Schneider.

It is explicitly tailored to the needs of this industry and showcases the latest innovations in automation, robotics, and software. Thus, we find a perfectly matched target audience – decision-makers come to Leipzig. Our exhibitor presentations in the forum also received great attention, with the rows of seats filled to the last place,” says Lars Johow, Managing Director of DYNAMED

GmbH for Management and Logistics in Healthcare and a member of the exhibitor advisory board.

According to the press release, the vast majority of event participants came from healthcare institutions such as hospitals or university clinics. Almost half of the visitors were top decision-makers in the industry, according to the organizer. The majority of visitors wanted to be inspired, expand their knowledge, and learn about innovations and trends. They were well able to achieve these goals, according to their own statements. Nine out of ten visitors want to attend med.Logistica again and would also recommend it to others.

The med.Logistica has been held every two years since 2011. The next edition will take place from June 2 to 3, 2027.
