The Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH in Weinsberg near Heilbronn filed for insolvency at the district court of Heilbronn on Friday, July 18, 2025. Marc-Philippe Hornung from the law firm SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz in Mannheim was appointed as the provisional insolvency administrator. This was announced in a press release from the intralogistics company on July 21.
Vollert Anlagenbau develops turnkey intralogistics concepts for the aluminum and metal industry, facilities for the production of precast concrete elements, as well as shunting
systems. The main reason for the company's predicament is the globally weak demand in the past 18 months in all sectors where Vollert operates, particularly in the precast concrete industry. Furthermore, a major project with a client in the steel industry had to be completed with a loss due to unforeseen difficulties.
The business operations of Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH continue without restrictions. The wages and salaries of the employees are secured for three months through the insolvency money from the
employment agency, it was further stated.
“I informed the workforce immediately after filing the insolvency application about the situation. That it had to come to this is extremely regrettable—especially since we were able to acquire two new major projects a few weeks ago. Had we known that we would no longer be able to use our guarantee framework with the banks on short notice for the new orders, we would have, of course, canceled all celebrations for the 100th anniversary
of our company in June,” said Hans-Jörg Vollert, Managing Partner of Vollert Anlagenbau.
“In a first step, I will get an overview of the situation.
