The logistics-focused consulting and software company Develogment from Kempen offers with "cargoconnect" a scalable SaaS platform for planning, control and billing of transport, warehousing and production processes — including hazardous substances and hazardous goods management.
The software emerged from practical experience: According to the company, it was originally developed as an in-house solution for a leading logistics group and has been successfully in use there for many years under demanding operational conditions. A large portion of the current Develogment team was instrumental in conception, continuous development and operation. With the acquisition of the
source code rights, the application is now available to all interested companies.
cargoconnect can be flexibly used as a single- or multi-module solution (TMS, WMS, ERP). According to the provider, the modules unleash their full potential especially in combination: users benefit from a unified user interface with consistent data and process logic, seamless workflows and direct access to all relevant information and documents. The elimination of media breaks and interfaces increases both user-friendliness and transparency and enables significant efficiency gains, according to Develogment.
The multimodal transport management system offers, among other features, a
graphical disposition and real-time transparency along national as well as international supply chains. It enables the smooth interaction of road, inland waterways, sea, rail and air transport in a single application, according to the provider.
Manage complex multi-site warehouse structures
The multi-customer warehouse management system enables efficient management of various customers in a single warehouse location with flexibly definable inbound and outbound strategies—from storage with automated storage-location determination through the handling of all intralogistics processes to the mapping of all value-added services. The solution supports all warehouse topologies, types and rack types; even
complex multi-site warehouse structures can thus be managed highly efficiently, according to Develogment.
The ERP module covers the planning, control, monitoring and billing of all manufacturing processes: from order management, planning and disposition through procurement and material provisioning to the management of linked multi-stage production orders – including recipe management and quality inspection, according to Develogment.
Thanks to established interfaces, cargoconnect can be integrated, according to the provider, in a minimally invasive manner into existing IT landscapes such as SAP, Dynamics 365 Business Central or DATEV. Hosting takes place in ISO/IEC 27001-certified data
