The digital logistics provider Forto introduced "Flash by Forto" on May 20, a next-generation AI agent designed to automate employee workflows and ensure faster, smarter, and more consistent transport processing.

Flash by Forto supports operations managers in all phases of the shipping process, according to a press release. From booking to invoicing, the application automates routine decisions and communication according to company information. This is intended to allow employees to focus on more complex tasks and enable shorter

response times, higher transparency, and consistently high service quality on the customer side.

According to the press release, Flash by Forto uses advanced large language models and a proprietary dataset to draw conclusions, make decisions, and act in parallel with thousands of active shipments. The system interprets emails, extracts relevant data, suggests the next steps, and creates accurate documentation—all in real time.

Designed for scalability

Flash by Forto is based on one of the best-structured and standardized operational

datasets in the industry, the company is convinced. This enables large-scale deployment—Forto expects that after full implementation practically all shipment-related tasks will be automated.

According to the press release, the application is already in use in Forto's export processes and streamlines important processes along the entire supply chain. The system automatically captures data from relevant documents, processes booking requests, plans transport modes and routes, schedules pickups and deliveries, and extracts and validates shipping documents. Additionally, Flash by Forto

supports invoicing and post-shipment communication.

“Flash by Forto is the industry's first step towards evolving traditional transport management systems into intelligent transport management agents,” explains Kamil B. Rodoper, CPTO at Forto. “Flash by Forto fundamentally changes the nature of shipment processing and enables us to strategically redefine the role of operations managers in shipment handling and customer service.”

The company aims to expand the scope of Flash by Forto to imports, air freight, special cases, supplier management, and
