Burton, the American company for snowboard and outdoor goods, continues its collaboration with contract logistics provider Loxxess. Both partners intend to continue the decades-long cooperation, according to Loxxess's press release of August 7.

“The team at Loxxess has consistently responded flexibly to our new products and requirements over almost a quarter of a century. We work very well together, and our customers have always received their

orders quickly and reliably. Storage, packaging, shipping and returns — everything works and should stay that way. Therefore we have further expanded the collaboration,” said Johann Trojer, Senior Manager Logistics Europe at Burton.

At Loxxess, all of Burton's European B2C and B2B orders are consolidated. According to the company, since the start of the partnership around three million packages have been shipped from a Loxxess location.

To operate more efficiently and sustainably, Burton will from now on rely solely on the Loxxess site in Bor, Czech Republic, it said. Previously, the orders were processed at Aurach in Franconia. “Through our site in Bor we already serve many other large customers. Burton fits well with this, and we are pleased to welcome here another long-standing partner,” said Lars Gutermuth, member of the management

board at Loxxess.

With Burton's relocation, new capacity is created at the Aurach site near Nuremberg for e-commerce retailers. There, goods, processes and IT can be activated quickly thanks to the latest modernization, according to Loxxess. Shopify already provides a direct connection from online shops to Loxxess's logistics services via an app. In this way, startups and fast-growing online retailers could immediately professionalize their logistics.
