CTP is developing a build-to-suit logistics property for Westenergie AG, the largest subsidiary of Eon SE. This is located in the “CTPark Mülheim” in North Rhine-Westphalia at the border with the cities of Duisburg and Essen, said the owner, developer, and proprietor of logistics and industrial properties in a press release on July 15.

The new property of Westenergie AG will have a rental area of around 12,000 square meters, which the company has leased long-term. Two metering business units from Essen-Kettwig and Mülheim will be relocated to the new

building. The new location also includes modern workplaces, a logistics center for metering technology, and a state-recognized testing center for measuring devices.

“With the new building in Mülheim, we are creating the conditions for further growth in a dynamic region, where the excellent location and connectivity speak for themselves,” said Bernd Böddeling, Senior Vice President Energy Networks Germany at Eon and CEO of Westenergie AG.

CTP acquired the 335,000-square-meter area from the French multinational manufacturing company Vallourec at the end of 2023. The developer plans to transform the site, which

previously housed an industrial rolling mill, into a modern commercial park. This will offer more than 160,000 square meters for research and development, laboratories, co-working, as well as industrial and logistics spaces for companies in high-growth, technology-driven sectors such as life sciences and IT manufacturing.

The “CTPark Mülheim” is located in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, one of the largest urban areas in Europe. According to the developer, it is well connected to the A2, A3, A42, A52, and A59 motorways. This allows the major cities and economic

centers of Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Dortmund, and Essen to be reached quickly. The park is also close to Belgium and the Netherlands, making the major ports of Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Rotterdam easily accessible.

CTP is aiming for a DGNB Gold certification for the “CTPark Mülheim.” Furthermore, the installation of a photovoltaic system is planned to ensure a fossil-free energy supply. The project is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027.

The project development involves, among others, the real estate company Brockhoff & Partner and the city of Mülheim an
