Frasers Property Industrial has acquired a 184,700 square meter site in Schleswig-Holstein for the development of a new industrial and commercial park. The site will see the creation of 100,000 square meters of multifunctional space in three phases, Frasers Property Industrial announced in a press release on May 27. This includes the construction of a single building with an area of around 70,000 square meters.
With a length of almost 400 meters and a width of 200 meters, the building is designed to offer versatile usage options tailored to the needs of companies from different industries.
The location at Vossbarg 1 in Itzehoe features transport connections such as a train station and the A23 highway with access to Hamburg (60 kilometers away), the Port of Hamburg and the Elbe Port
of Brunsbüttel.
Frasers Property aims for a Gold Certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for the project by implementing features like smart meters and heat pump technology.
“The proximity to international goods flows makes the location in the northwest of the Hamburg metropolitan region particularly attractive,” said Alexander Heubes, Managing Director Europe at Frasers Property Industrial.
With this new industrial and commercial park,
they expect demand from both global players and regionally based small and medium-sized enterprises.
