Gilgen Logistics, according to its own statements, is strengthening its presence in the German market. In June 2025, Thomas Müller took over the management of Gilgen Logistics GmbH in Dortmund. The company recently announced this in a press release. The Swiss company intends to drive the expansion of its sales activities in the German market with this appointment.
The internationally active Gilgen Logistics GmbH has already been represented
in Germany for several years with two locations. In Stuttgart, there is a development center for rack handling devices. The site in Dortmund has been primarily focused on customer service until now. With Thomas Müller as managing director, the Dortmund location will now also take on central sales tasks for market development in Germany.
From Swisslog to Gilgen
Müller (41), a trained mechanical engineer, is said by the
company to have extensive management and sales experience in the logistics, automation, and mechanical engineering sectors. He combines technical skills with practical entrepreneurial expertise. Throughout his career, he has repeatedly managed and strategically developed complex sales and service organizations — most recently as Head of Account Management at Swisslog, where he was responsible for a significant customer portfolio and led a multinational team.
"We are glad to have
gained a very experienced professional in Thomas Müller for Gilgen Logistics and to be able to drive the expansion of our activities in Germany with him," says Daniel Gilgen, CEO of Gilgen Logistics. "We want to accompany our customers in Germany more closely in the future and throughout the entire lifecycle of the systems — from the first contact through solution finding and commissioning to service and support."
