Dr. Dominik Antoni has been the new technical managing director at Alpenhain Käsespezialitäten GmbH since June 1. Together with Robert Winkelmann, who has been managing director since 2018 and ran the company as the sole responsible person since mid-September 2023, he now forms the new dual leadership of the traditional cheese dairy in Upper Bavaria. This was announced in a press release from the company on June 5.
According to the announcement, Antoni brings extensive expertise in the food and dairy industry. Most recently, he was a member of the management team at Andechser Molkerei,
where he was responsible for production, technology, quality assurance, purchasing, and materials management. Prior to that, he worked for more than ten years at the Südzucker Group, including as managing director of CropEnergies Bioethanol GmbH.
Close Collaboration with Robert Winkelmann
His roots are in food technology: During his doctorate at TU Munich, Antoni worked with Alpenhain and oversaw projects in the field of energy supply. In his new role, he will be responsible for production, technology, development, quality assurance, purchasing, and supply chain management. He will work closely with the advisory board and Robert Winkelmann,
who as managing director handles the commercial area.
Focus on Strategic Development
A key focus is on the strategic development of the company, particularly through the implementation of a long-term plant development plan.
"Together with the team, I want to preserve Alpenhain's strong tradition while simultaneously setting new impulses for greater efficiency and innovation. It is particularly important to me to leverage synergies in collaboration and technology to position our organization for the future," says Antoni about his goals in the company.
In the short term, he prioritizes optimizing the value chain and the international
orientation of the company. In the medium to long term, topics such as climate-friendly energy supply and responsible resource usage will be at the forefront. Robert Winkelmann also welcomes the strengthening of the management team:
