The hospital service provider Vamed Care appointed Daniel Gerkens as the new Head of Group Services in May 2025. This is according to a press release from the company based in Vienna, Austria. In this role, Gerkens is responsible for the strategic and operational development of the central service areas such as cleaning,
catering, and logistics within the Vamed Care facilities in Germany.
According to Vamed, Gerkens brings with him more than two decades of experience in managing complex service structures. Most recently, he served as the Head of Central Services for a private nursing home operator, where he led several thousand employees and was responsible
for the management of service companies and central procurement. His professional roots in upscale hospitality shape his quality standards and service orientation.
