Since April 2025, Gerald Müller has been the new Chief Operating Officer at KEB Automation, a system provider of automation and drive solutions. The 44-year-old is thus responsible for managing the business, particularly in the areas of production and procurement. The company, based in Barntrup, North Rhine-Westphalia, recently announced this.

He succeeds Ralf Lutter, who is transitioning into a consulting role after 37 years with the company — more than 25 of which were

spent in management. In his new role, Müller joins the existing management team, which includes Thomas Brinkmann (CEO and Partner), Vittorio Tavella (CFO), and Wolfgang Wiele (CTO).

“I am excited about the new challenge and thank you for the trust placed in me. My goal is to further optimize the value chain of the corporate group in cooperation with specialists and managers. By increasing the digitization and automation of core processes, we are adapting

Gerald Müller has been with KEB since 2005, starting in tool making, which he took over a few years later. In 2012, the electrical engineering graduate became the operations manager for electronics production at KEB's main location in Barntrup. As the new COO of KEB Automation, he will oversee the electronics and brake and clutch production. His responsibilities also include industrial engineering, service, material management, production digitization, maintenance,

and occupational safety. Thomas Brinkmann, CEO and partner of the KEB Group:

“With Gerald Müller, an exceptionally experienced colleague takes over the management of the production area, who knows the internal processes and always has an eye for potential optimizations.
