Patrick Hörmann will assume the position of Logistics Director at Aspiag Service s.r.l., an Italian subsidiary of the Spar Austria Group, on July 7, 2025. The company announced this in a press release. The experienced logistics expert will be responsible for all warehouses and the entire transport system at Spar in Northern Italy.
Aspiag Service s.r.l. operates a total of
247 Despar, Eurospar, and Interspar markets as well as six wholesale warehouses in five regions of Italy – Trentino-South Tyrol, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, and Lombardy. Another 303 Despar and Eurospar markets are operated by independent Despar merchants, who are also supplied via the wholesale trade of Aspiag Service s.r.l. The logistical infrastructure is complemented by a specialized warehouse
for frozen products, another for non-food items, and a modern fish platform, ensuring efficient and fresh market deliveries.
Patrick Hörmann began his career with training in wholesale before joining Spar in Lower Austria in 2010, where he held various positions in the logistics sector. Most recently, the trained logistics manager was the head of the warehouse department at Spar's logistics
center in Ebergassing.
According to the company, Hörmann brings extensive experience and expertise in supply chain, warehouse management, transport planning, and supply chain management. In recent years, he has conducted projects for process optimization, without losing focus on the employees.
