Orlen Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the Polish multi-energy group Orlen S.A., is expanding its management team: Dariusz Kwieciński has been appointed to the management board by the supervisory board with effect from June 5, 2025. In his new role as Chief Executive Officer, he will take responsibility for the areas of strategy, finance, personnel, marketing, public relations, procurement, wholesale, logistics, purchasing, IT, compliance, and security.
Kwieciński has been with Orlen Deutschland since September 2, 2024 – initially in the position of Executive Director
for Sales and Marketing and most recently as Senior Executive Director. He was already active for the Orlen Group between 2010 and 2014: initially as Director of the Trading and Logistics Office at Orlen Gaz, then as Director of International Trading & Wholesale Support at Orlen S.A. He is now bringing his extensive experience within the corporate group back into the further development of the German business.
With more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Kwieciński brings extensive expertise.
He began his career at the Lotos Group, formerly Gdańsk Refinery. Other senior positions led him to companies such as Mazeikiu Nafta and Pern. Throughout his professional career, he has gained extensive expertise in various areas of the industry—from market analysis to logistics, purchasing, and marketing to price management and wholesale. He has also led numerous pioneering projects, particularly within the framework of extensive change management processes.
Kwieciński is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk, where he earned his Master's degree in Transport
and Logistics in 1998. In 2010, he completed postgraduate studies in Practical Social Psychology at the SWPS University in Warsaw. In 2015, he completed a four-year doctoral program in management sciences at Kozminski University in Warsaw. With the appointment of Dariusz Kwieciński, the management board of Orlen Deutschland GmbH grows to two members.
