With "BoxDryy," ThoMar OHG introduces a new generation of inbox desiccants designed to contribute to more sustainable logistics processes. According to the provider, numerous manufacturers, logisticians, and online retailers are increasingly relying on reduced packaging and plastic-free shipping. While this benefits the environment and resource utilization, it presents new challenges for product protection: Without additional plastic packaging such as

polybags, the risk of moisture damage during transport or storage increases significantly, says ThoMar.

The well-known and widely used silica gel-based desiccant bags are not suitable for this area of application—without an additional barrier layer—because their dehumidification performance is not sufficient to ensure effective protection over longer periods.

BoxDryy, on the other hand, was specifically developed for such applications,

according to the company: The powerful combination of magnesium chloride and starch absorbs many times its own weight in moisture and binds it into a solid, leak-proof mass—even under highly fluctuating climatic conditions, according to the provider.

Also suitable for sensitive goods

According to ThoMar, the new high-performance desiccant BoxDryy has a food safety certification for indirect contact with

foodstuffs. This makes it suitable for use in the transportation and storage of particularly sensitive contents—from electronics to consumer goods.

BoxDryy is now available in ThoMar's official online shop. The space-saving pouches in various sizes ranging from five to 100 grams can be easily integrated into existing packaging processes, according to the provider, and are suitable for e-commerce, export,
