The Beumer Group acquires the two companies Codept and Elara, which were created in its own company-builder Beam. The Beckum-based company announced this in a press release.
Opportunities to tackle challenges
Codept and Elara have reportedly developed new products and business models that respond to the requirements of the changing market. By integrating them, the manufacturer of intralogistics systems opens up new possibilities for its customers to address current challenges in the logistics industry. According to Beumer, users benefit from more efficient processes, better integration of digital solutions, and greater transparency in logistics and maintenance.
Beam is the 2018-launched company-builder of the Beumer Group. With Beam, it has been possible to systematically identify, develop and bring
innovative business ideas to market maturity, according to the company. The focus lies on digital products and new business models that complement the classic core business and are intended to create added value for Beumer's customers.
Solution for E-commerce
With Codept, the first Beam-startup from 2019, the Beumer Group aims to unlock new digital potentials in logistics. Through its integration platform, Codept connects logistics service providers with online retailers, regardless of the shop, ERP, WMS, and marketplace system used. The company also enables data and process harmonization along the entire order fulfillment and eases logisticians' work through the no-code platform. Customers should benefit from seamless connectivity, more than 40 already available system integrations, and reduced onboarding
time on a scalable platform.
The 2020-founded company Elara within Beam is now also part of the Beumer Group. With its cloud-based platform for maintenance management, Elara expands the portfolio with a solution that is already in use at airports, logistics centers, and production facilities. It supports maintenance teams in avoiding downtime, managing spare parts transparently, and reducing costs.
Strengthening start-ups
As part of the takeover, the Codept and Elara companies will be integrated as subsidiaries into the Beumer Group. Both companies will retain their independent structures. The founders will continue to serve as managing directors and are responsible for the operational leadership of their respective companies. With this step, the Beumer Group aims to strengthen
the entrepreneurial core of the young companies and at the same time ensure continuity in customer support.
„We do not want to leave innovations to chance, but push them forward systematically and with an entrepreneurial spirit,“ explains Volker Jungbluth, Chief Technology Officer Innovation & Development at the Beumer Group. „Our clear goal is to realize at least one market-ready innovation every year. For this, we rely on a continuously filled ideas pool. Our vision is to develop innovations that not only excite our organization but also our customers and provide them with real added value. With the acquisition of Codept and Elara, we underline our claim to actively shaping the future of logistics together with our
