Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo division of the airline, offers a tailored solution for the transport of the most important and valuable components in aviation with "Aircraft Engines." This product is part of the new "Aerospace and Engineering" business division, whose launch the airline announced at the transport logistic 2025 trade fair.

Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President Emirates SkyCargo, explains:

“Transporting highly specialized goods is always an exciting challenge. Thanks to our investments in a world-class infrastructure within our network, we are well-prepared for this new task. Through the technical expertise of our team, our own innovative technologies, and specially developed infrastructure, we have created the 'Aircraft Engines' product and our own business division in close collaboration with various partners to optimally manage valuable and

technically demanding cargo at every point of the supply chain.”

Special Service for Aircraft Engines

Aircraft engines are technically highly complex and require specialized and continuous handling. Engines are transported for maintenance, repair, or replacement—often under enormous time pressure. In collaboration with external consultants such as manufacturers and operators, the Emirates SkyCargo expert team has optimized existing processes under the name "Aircraft Engines" and developed a special solution for the global transport of engines, according to a press release.

Certified loadmasters are said to oversee the loading, securing, and unloading of engines and use specialized handling techniques, checklists, and equipment such as shock-absorbing transport carts. The Emirates Control Tower team monitors every shipment around the clock, and optionally, tracking devices for real-time updates throughout the

entire transport can be added.

Since speed is crucial, shipments under the "Aircraft Engines" label receive Emirates Sky Cargo's highest loading priority—for quick and efficient processing and minimal downtime for customer aircraft. Additionally, a global expert team is available in key cities of the Emirates network, offering consulting and support through a dedicated hotline and email address, according to the cargo airline.

Introduction of the Aerospace and Engineering Business Division

With the new Aerospace and Engineering business division, Emirates SkyCargo aims to offer tailored logistics and transport solutions for an industry requiring the highest precision, specialized handling, and speed.

The business division targets a clearly defined audience in the fields of aviation, engineering, defense, and aerospace—namely airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and suppliers transporting components and engines;

manufacturers of satellites and other space technology; engineers working on the development and production of the most advanced technologies in propulsion, avionics, and materials science; as well as governments needing the highest protection for their special shipments.

Alongside "Aircraft Engines," the business division also includes Emirates AOG (Aircraft on Ground), which specializes in the rapid delivery of time-critical aircraft parts. Emirates SkyCargo already transports numerous shipments of aircraft components daily and has recently expanded this offering—among other things by introducing new, prominently marked "Must Go" bags with the label "CARGO," to ensure maximum service and shortest delivery times for customers worldwide.

According to the company, further subcategories within Aerospace and Engineering are already in development to provide customers with a comprehensive and specialized service portfolio.
