T Comm Telematics has developed an app that provides real-time information on temperatures, door openings, and alarm notifications for temperature-controlled transports. In case of deviations, the driving staff is automatically warned through notifications. T Comm will showcase the app as well as other new and proven components of its telematics solution at transport logistic 2025 from June 2 to 5 in Munich.

"Sometimes every second counts in temperature-controlled transports. With our driver app, we provide all the necessary data in real-time – creating the basis for

quick intervention in case of critical deviations," said Carsten Holtrup, Country Manager at T Comm Telematics.

The application, available for Android and iOS operating systems, is part of the telematics solution offered by the provider with a head office in the Netherlands and a German representation in Münster, Westphalia. Other components include wireless sensors, base units, and a web portal for monitoring. Temperatures, door status, truck coupling, fill level, and trailer management data (EBS) are recorded. According to the provider, there are interfaces to numerous other

telematics applications, ERP, and visualization platforms to enable a seamless interaction of different solutions.

Temperature data upon unloading via QR code

Besides the driver app, T Comm is showcasing for the first time the ability to access temperature data upon unloading via QR code at transport logistic 2025. The procedure: First, a QR code is attached externally on the trailer. This can then be scanned with any mobile device during unloading and subsequently transmits the exact temperature data. According to T Comm, this eliminates the inaccurate

and error-prone reading of a thermometer or paper printout.

As another premiere, T Comm presents the solar unit "TCD100/S" and the asset tracking unit "TCD100/2" at transport logistic. According to the provider, with these two models, companies can locate and manage all types of transport means such as trailers, crane trucks, or carry-on forklifts in real-time. The quick and easy installation of the solar unit TCD100/S and the asset tracking unit TCD100/2 make both devices immediately ready for use, T Comm stated.
