Too fast driving, too little distance, or disregard of the emergency lane – what penalty can be imposed for which offense? According to ADAC, partially severe penalties are to be expected.

What fine for what?

A speed violation of 21 to 25 km/h in city areas costs 115 euros, for example, and is punished with one point in Flensburg. From 31 km/h, according to the automobile club, 260 euros fine, one point, and a one-month driving ban are threatened.

A fine is also due for exceeding the main inspection by up to four months (15 euros) or approaching a priority road too fast (10 euros).

It becomes really expensive for unauthorized driving in the emergency lane – according to the ADAC, this incurs 240 euros, two points, and a one-month driving ban. An even higher fine (360 euros) is to be expected if a red light is run, which had shown red for more than one second, resulting

in an accident with property damage. Then, too, two points and a driving ban are imposed.

End at eight points

The maximum point limit in Flensburg is reached at eight points, according to the data. Then the driving permit is revoked. And how can the driver’s license be regained? Through a positive medical-psychological examination (MPU) after at least six months.

But points can also expire, explains the ADAC: A single point from an administrative offense expires after two and

a half years, points from offenses with two points after five years.

Digital fine calculator

The ADAC fine calculator should provide a precise overview, digitally listing more than 380 offenses from the current fine catalog.

Additionally, it is possible for members of the automobile club to transmit their fine notice directly to a contract lawyer and receive advice within the framework of a free initial consultation. The old fine calculator informed exclusively about speed, red light, and distance violations,
