The Vice President of the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM), Bernd Krekeler, has retired. This occurred during an official ceremonial event. Krekeler had been with the agency since 1990 and shaped its development in various roles. He began his career at different external offices, later took over the leadership of the
Controls Department, and finally became Vice President.

According to BALM, Krekeler played a central role in the realignment of the traffic control service as well as in the technical advancement of the control procedures. In particular, his work on structural adjustments and modernization has had a lasting influence on
the agency's strategic direction.
Antje Keunecke assumes the Vice Presidency
As of September 1, 2025, Antje Keunecke will assume the position of Vice President. She has headed the Central Services department since 2022 and will continue to do so in her new role. The department, according to the agency, contributes significantly to the
efficient fulfillment of BALM's tasks.
