For over three decades, MAN Truck & Bus and Business Fleet Services GmbH (BFS) have maintained a close collaboration. According to the companies, this connection extends far beyond daily business and also involves joint commitment to the concerns of professional drivers.
Donation to a non-profit association
On the occasion of their 30th company anniversary, BFS transferred 3,000 euros to the association "Fahrer helfen Fahrern e.V." The symbolic check presentation took place in mid-July 2025 at the Truck Grand Prix at
Nürburgring. According to the company's information, the entire amount will go directly to the association's aid projects.
"The trustworthy collaboration with BFS is characterized by a deep understanding of the needs of the transport industry," emphasizes Stefan Schall, Managing Director of Sales Truck, Van & Used at MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland GmbH. "That BFS uses its anniversary to help drivers in need is a strong signal – and an expression of our close partnership."
Support in emergencies
"Fahrer helfen
Fahrern e.V." was founded in 2007 from the MAN driver community Trucker’s World by MAN. Its aim is to provide fast and unbureaucratic assistance to professional drivers and their families in acute emergency situations such as serious accidents, illnesses, or personal tragedies. According to the association, numerous affected individuals have been supported with immediate financial aid since its founding.
"The drivers are the backbone of our industry – without them, nothing works," says Jan Plieninger, Managing Director of BFS GmbH.
"With our donation, we want not only to say thank you, but also to contribute to supporting colleagues in difficult life situations."
Direct benefit for those affected
According to the association, the current donation from BFS fully benefits the aid projects without deductions. It is intended to specifically support drivers who find themselves in difficult life situations. For both companies, this commitment is an expression of a shared stance to take responsibility for the people in the transport industry. (av)
