Since June 2025, the fully electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 has been available through CharterWay. As the company reports, the expansion of the rental portfolio is part of Daimler Truck Financial Services' efforts to provide sustainable solutions for heavy long-distance transport.

Technical Equipment and Range

The eActros 600 features a battery capacity of over 600 kilowatt-hours and offers a range of around 500 kilometers without recharging. The vehicle's equipment includes modern assistance

systems to enhance traffic safety, including Active Brake Assist 6 (ABA 6), Frontguard Assist, Active Sideguard Assist 2 (ASGA 2), as well as Active Drive Assist 3 (ADA 3). The system is complemented by a total of six sensors, consisting of four short-range radars, a long-range radar, and a multifunction camera in the windshield.

Truck-as-a-Service Model

The integration of the vehicle at Charterway takes place within a comprehensive Truck-as-a-Service model. The

rental specialist offers modular service packages in addition to flexible rental periods. These include charging infrastructure, consulting services, maintenance, and digital services tailored to customer needs.

Company Profile CharterWay and Daimler Truck Financial Services

CharterWay operates more than 70 rental stations throughout Germany and has a fleet of over 6,000 vehicles. The company is part of the Daimler Truck Financial Services group, which has been operational since December 2021. With around

1,900 employees in 18 countries, the organization is one of the largest financial service providers in the commercial vehicle segment. Its service offering includes leasing, financing, insurance, and rental solutions for trucks and buses. Further market entries are planned.
