According to L.W. Cretschmar Süd, the Spanish subsidiary L.W. Cretschmar Española S.A. signed a strategic cooperation with the logistics service provider Ontime Corporate Union S.A. from Madrid on October 6, 2025. The aim of the collaboration is to link Ontime's national transport and logistics networks in Spain, Portugal and Morocco with Cretschmar's European network. The Düsseldorf-based company is a founding member of System Alliance Europe, a European cooperation for international general cargo transports.
Formation of one of the largest general cargo networks in Southern Europe
According to the company, the new partnership will create one of the largest general cargo and freight transport networks on the Iberian Peninsula and in Morocco. Spain, Portugal and Morocco are to play
a central role in the future as a connecting corridor for goods traffic between Southern Europe and the rest of the continent. Germany will assume within this structure the role of central hub for Northern and Eastern Europe.
Goal: End-to-end digital processes and higher efficiency
According to Cretschmar, the cooperation enables closer integration of transport and logistics processes across borders. This will enable end-to-end digital processes. These are intended to make real-time data available, reduce interfaces and avoid empty trips. The aim is to plan shipments more efficiently and to coordinate supply chain processes significantly more dynamically. According to the companies, this integration allows resources to be saved and synergies to be utilized that were not previously available.

Existing and new customers are expected to benefit from the cooperation through shortened production and delivery times, greater transparency in shipment tracking, and improved planning security. The collaboration is thus intended to lead to more stable processes in European supply-chain management.

L.W. Cretschmar Süd remains legally autonomous within the cooperation with Ontime, according to its own statements.
