This positions the logistics company for continued growth in Europe. Both sites leverage their proximity to existing Dachser logistics centers for industrial and consumer goods.

All under one roof at Rotterdam

The new Food Warehouse in Waddinxveen near Rotterdam is part of the Rotterdam Logistics Center, which plays a central role across the Dachser network. Located near the largest European deep-water port, it offers the full portfolio of services from European Logistics to Food Logistics and cross-functional contract logistics to Air & Sea Logistics. Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics:

“Waddinxveen is a prime example of how we can offer our customers logistics services for

Europe and the world bundled at a single location from one source. The short distances between the halls create ideal conditions for an integrated and cross-functional collaboration of our business lines.”

The air and sea freight division operates a Container Freight Station in Waddinxveen for exports, consolidating less-than-container-load shipments from across Europe and shipping them by sea freight to destinations worldwide.

All acquisitions under one roof

The new building has around 17,000 pallet storage locations, distributed across the three temperature zones ambient, refrigerated, and frozen. The facility is designed for both professional warehousing and cross-dock processes, enabling efficient handling of temperature-controlled as well as

non-refrigerated goods under one roof. Stefan Behrendt, Managing Director Dachser Food Logistics:

“For food logistics, the newly opened site Waddinxveen has a special significance. For the first time in the Netherlands, we bring together all the services of our acquired companies Müller Fresh Food Logistics and Frigoscandia at one location, under one roof and under the Dachser brand.”

Parma: First joint site with Dachser & Fercam Italia

Also in Parma, Italy, Dachser Food Logistics recently opened a new site, located on the premises of Dachser & Fercam Italia’s existing branch. The joint venture focused on LTL and contract logistics has been part of the

Dachser Group since 2024.

On 12,200 square meters of warehouse space, including 2,000 square meters of refrigerated space, the logistics provider offers national and international customers in the heart of Italy’s “Food Valley” food LTL transport and warehousing in the refrigerated and ambient sectors.

In one of Italy’s leading export regions, the joint site is intended to bundle the efficiency of the European LTL network with the specialization of the requirements of food logistics. Alexander Tonn:

“In the expanded locations Waddinxveen and Parma, Dachser Food Logistics’ European growth becomes tangible. And more than that: they stand for our mission to become the most integrated
