The IT service providers Dakosy and Logward are entering into a collaboration: together they intend to pool their expertise and further advance the digitalization of sub-processes in logistics.
Customs Hub
The first joint project, the Customs Hub, involves the pre-planning and consolidation of customs declarations. According to the information, Logward is bringing its no-code platform into the collaboration.
This is intended to simplify the creation process of customs declarations. The new Customs
Hub aims to combine the advantages of the no-code platform with Dakosy's Zodiak GE customs software.
“Logistics providers and importers can collect customs-relevant shipment data such as invoices and shipping notices in the new module, long before the customs declarations are due,” explains Dakosy customs expert Lutz Hagen.
Reducing Effort
According to Hagen, at the actual time of clearance, the required data sets can then be precisely selected on the Logward platform
and aggregated for customs declarations to the Zodiak software.
Logward’s IT platform reduces the manual effort - with integrated upload templates, flexible consolidation functions, and an intuitive user interface, it is stated.
Individual Customization
This is particularly advantageous for service providers handling customs declarations for various customers. At the same time, the process should be able to be customized individually and further developed without programming effort.
According to Christian Eick, Director of
Solution Consulting at Logward, the cooperation demonstrates how complex processes like customs declarations can be digitized with the no-code platform – "even without specialist knowledge in the field of customs."
According to company information, the solution was developed together in just a few weeks, and no additional IT resources are required. A demo version of the Customs Hub will be presented at Transport Logistic from June 2 to 5, 2025, in Munich.
