The freight company W&P is based in Prichsenstadt, Franconia, and offers transport and logistics solutions. The range of services includes national and international transportation as well as warehousing and certified waste disposal.

The current fleet consists of 50 trucks, including 23 fully electric vehicles. Additionally, W&P rents out trailers for individual transport requirements.

The transport company has further invested in e-mobility. The fleet, which already includes around 40 Mercedes-Benz vehicles with diesel engines and three battery-electric

Mercedes-Benz eActros 300s, was expanded by adding 20 eActros 600s.

“As a freight company focused on sustainable logistics in the recycling industry and the premium textile sector, it was clear to us: The future drives electrically,” explains Alexander Wehr, managing director of W&P.

Furthermore, the company recently opened its own charging park on its premises in Prichsenstadt, which is located in the Franconian wine region near the A3 motorway and directly on the B286 federal highway.

This is equipped with 56 DC fast-charging points, with the power supply reportedly coming from the in-house photovoltaic system and a 15,000 kWh battery storage system. On-site, there are toilets, showers, as well as waiting rooms and vending machines available.

In the design and implementation of the charging park, as well as the application for subsidies, W&P received support through the Truck-Charge offering from Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
