Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has established its own national company in Colombia. The move is considered an important milestone in the expansion of the global network, it says. The aim is to achieve long-term and sustainable growth in the Americas region. Jens Drewes, CEO, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics:

"After the acquisition of HPL Apollo in the USA and the integration of Colombian activities, the establishment of a fully integrated national company in Colombia is another milestone in our global expansion strategy. The Americas region

is a key growth market for us. With the new structure, we strengthen our position and lay the foundation to serve our customers even better and closer to the market."

The logistics company has been active in Colombia for almost three decades through local partner companies and states that it has been able to build its own market position, local knowledge, and a network during this time.

Air, Sea, Customs, and ContractAt the beginning of the year, Hellmann acquired its partner in

the area of Perishable Logistics, HPL Apollo, including the Colombian unit. Based on this, an independent company was established, which will focus on end-to-end logistics solutions for general cargo and other areas such as air and sea freight, customs clearance, and contract logistics.

The business is supported by a local team. Thus, Colombia is a strategically important hub for the transport of goods in all directions, both within the Americas region and worldwide through the global network. Peter Huwel, Regional CEO Americas:

"After seven successful years in close partnership with ABC Cargo Logistics S.A.S., we are pleased to now launch with our own organization in Colombia. This creates the conditions for us to offer our customers seamless, high-quality logistics solutions from a single source – and at the same time enable further growth in the region."

By entering the Colombian market, the company not only strengthens its presence in Latin America but also aims to connect markets and people across the entire American continent,
