Cargobord presents a thoroughly positive report eight months after its market entry on the Iberian Peninsula. The digital forwarding company started with 350 shipments in Spain and Portugal in October 2024. By June 2025, there were already 876. The company reports an increase of approximately 150 percent in just eight months.

According to their own statements, the company – including the transports from the already underway July – has handled over 7,500 orders in the two markets so far. The next goal is already clearly defined: by autumn, they aim to surpass the milestone of 10,000 transports.

“We started in Spain and Portugal with the conviction that our digital booking model would be gratefully received

by shippers in these two countries. This calculation paid off,” summarizes Lukas Petrasch, founder and CEO of Cargoboard, on the latest interim status of this development.

Of course, there are always fluctuations. However, Petrasch views the two-and-a-half fold increase in shipments between October 2024 and June 2025 as a major success.

Digital Business Model with a Personal Touch in Customer Service

For the market entry in Spain and Portugal, the company did not solely rely on automating all process steps in transport booking. Additionally, Cargoboard places a very high emphasis on personal contacts in the initiation and handling of orders.

“Even without having our own on-site office, native speakers and logistics experts have been committed

to customer service and dispatch from our side. The close exchange with local partners like CBL Logística further increases the added value of our service for clients,” emphasizes Lukas Petrasch.

Further Countries in Focus

At the Transport Logistic trade fair this June, the Cargoboard founder announced business growth to 100 million euros in annual sales for 2027. In addition to the highly important markets in Germany and Austria, where Cargoboard Austria was launched this spring, this also means an even stronger focus on internationalization.

Spain and Portugal will not be the last countries on the European continent where Cargoboard aims to establish its services firmly.

“In another country, we are already at a project stage

that goes far beyond the status of a test phase,” announces Lukas Petrasch of the next update from his company.
