ID Logistics and the food-industry group want to accelerate the growth of snack activities in France with their intensified partnership. ID Logistics has been represented at the Libercourt site since 2009 together with PepsiCo France and manages all of the group's snack activities in France there. The relocation to the new site in Dourges goes hand in hand with a new six-year contract, it is said. Eric Hémar, CEO of ID Logistics:

Sustainable warehouse with 55 loading ramps
The new warehouse is located in the Delta 3 logistics zone and offers space for up to 52,000 pallets. At the same time, the site has 55 loading ramps. For greater sustainability, a photovoltaic system on the roof, charging stations for heavy- and light-vehicles, a rainwater management system and an optimized energy management contribute,
according to the two companies.
Digital and automated advancement
The site is equipped with automation and digitization solutions designed to accelerate and secure operations. These include:
• automatic ramps to unload a full truck in just a few minutes
• an automated palletizing, packaging and stacking system to reduce repetitive and low-value-added tasks
• autonomous forklifts (FMR) for internal pallet transport, optimizing the flow of goods
• a digital portal and technologies for traceability (Free Scan, UWB) for real-time transparency and reliability of inventories and shipments
The
95 employees from Libercourt would also relocate to the new site in Dourges to ensure business continuity and the transfer of know-how.
