Since July 2025, CB Customs Broker has taken over the import customs clearance for Lufthansa Cargo's Perishables-to-Door service. According to a press release, the customs agency operates at the airports in Frankfurt am Main, Munich, and Brussels. It is responsible for the complete customs processing of perishable goods that arrive in Europe via international air freight and are distributed there.
International transports with Europe-wide forwarding
The Perishables-to-Door service connects international direct flights with subsequent distribution within Europe. Lufthansa Cargo transports, among other things, mangoes from Mexico, roses from Kenya, and papayas from Brazil. The responsibility for cross-border air transport and logistical processing lies with Lufthansa Cargo.
Customs processing and communication with authorities by CB Customs Broker
CB Customs Broker creates
T1 documents for all shipments that are further transported within Europe. Deliveries that remain in Germany are fully cleared by the agency. In addition, CB Customs Broker handles registration and document management with various authorities, including the Plant Protection Service, the Federal Agency for Agriculture, and the relevant Veterinary Office.
