Access to trucks and working on them require different solutions depending on the purpose. In any case, safety, flexibility, and ergonomics must be ensured, according to Krause.

Tailored platform and special solutions are gaining importance, especially for specific heights, vehicle contours, or changing locations.

Mobile Platform Ladder

For example, a mobile platform ladder was created for Hydro Building Systems Germany, which is designed to enable loading and unloading of trucks without a stationary loading ramp.

Forklifts can safely bring or collect loads to and from the platform through an integrated swing door. Anti-slip grating steps and an ergonomically designed staircase with handrails on both sides are intended to ensure safe access to the working area.

The entire unit is fixed at the deployment site using a central brake. The platform height can be continuously adjusted using a battery-powered lifting function. It is controlled via an operating element - from the ground or directly from the platform.

Side Work Platforms

Special requirements for standing space, working height, and freedom of movement must

also be considered for maintenance and repair work. Krause offers height-adjustable side work platforms that can adapt to the geometry of the respective vehicle.

They are supposed to offer large, anti-slip working areas, and are mechanically or electrically height-adjustable, featuring integrated impact protection systems to prevent damage to the vehicle. The platforms are suitable for short-term maintenance operations as well as regular inspection and service work.

Safe Windshield Replacement

The company also offers a special front work platform for replacing windshields, which can be moved directly to the front of the vehicle.

This platform is walkable at different height levels and offers space for two people plus tools. The mobile design, secure fixation options, and stable construction allow for flexible use, according to the information provided.

Maintenance, Loading, Seasonal Operations

For standardized operations, a mobile platform ladder in three different widths is also available. It is suitable for accessing trucks at working heights of up to 3.0 meters.

The stable lightweight metal construction can be easily moved using two integrated castors

and can be adapted to individual requirements, for example through additional handrails or alternative step profiles.

The Ice-Free Scaffold System is suitable not only for winter weather conditions and safely removing snow and ice from vehicle roofs but also for cleaning, maintenance, or inspection work. Access is via a non-slip stairway with grating steps to a continuous working platform secured with a surrounding handrail.

An optional handrail extension set makes the system walkable on two levels - to safely reach the lower areas of the vehicles as well.

SkyMatic

The telescopic platform ladder SkyMatic, a single-sided mobile platform ladder with a standing area of 600 x 500 millimeters, is supposed to be even more flexible. It is equipped with a surrounding handrail and a self-closing safety barrier for safe work at height.

The working height can be continuously adjusted using the ClickMatic system: According to Krause, working heights from approximately 2.80 m to 3.30 meters can be realized in the version with 1 x 3 to 1 x 5 rungs, the

larger model with 1 x 5 to 1 x 9 rungs covers heights from about 3.30 to 4.35 meters.

The ladder can also be safely set up on stairs or steps. The SkyMatic can be folded compactly and easily brought to the site using integrated rolls.

The solution is suitable for maintenance and inspection work on trucks, but also for applications in logistics centers, workshops, industrial halls, or in technical building management.

Platform Ladder

Krause's platform ladders are also intended to enable safe work at height – with an aluminum construction and anti-slip steps for longer assignments.

The platform offers a surrounding handrail. Various versions with single-sided or double-sided ascent are available.

Especially in the area of truck maintenance, platform ladders would provide quick and safe access to the driver’s cab, superstructures, or technical facilities.

For work areas with increased slip risk, such as in truck workshops with oil-soiled floors, versions with step and platform surfaces of slip resistance class R13 are also available. Optional accessories: trays, additional handrails, or safety
