While Niedermaier Spedition handles all exchanges digitally, Spedition Knecht uses the startup's software to precisely track the whereabouts of their special racks for transporting glass elements and to fully automate loading equipment management. The Dortmund startup's software of the same name digitizes and automates loading equipment management, enabling real-time tracking of pallets, containers, and racks. Dr. Philipp Hüning, CEO and co-founder of Logistikbude GmbH:

"We are very pleased to gain two established medium-sized forwarding companies as partners. With our software, we support them in automating processes and thus effectively and purposefully improving the complex management of load carriers."

From Paper to DigitalNiedermaier Spedition, based in Landau, wants to make its loading equipment management processes more transparent and relies on Logistikbude for this. The application of the same name centrally and digitally maps all loading equipment and exchange processes. Once a month, the software automatically sends a web link to all 250

exchange partners, through which they can view the stocks. At the same time, they are reminded to balance the exchange accounts in a timely manner. Anja Bachmeier, head of loading equipment management at Niedermaier and responsible for implementing the new solution:

"Thanks to Logistikbude, sending paper slips is no longer necessary, allowing us to use our personnel resources more effectively while significantly reducing paper consumption."

The forwarding company is currently in the test phase of the solution. By summer, the implementation should be completed.

Automated ManagementSpedition Knecht from Rudersberg near Stuttgart specializes in the transport of window and glass elements for the construction industry. By cooperating with the Dortmund loading equipment experts, loss rates and the external use of racks should be reduced. Dietmar Wiedmann, managing director of Spedition Knecht:

"In the Logistikbude software, we can trace for each individual rack where it is and whether it has been returned –

this greatly increases transparency. This is crucial for us because the racks are special constructions that may need to be reproduced and can cost up to 1,000 euros each."

With the help of the Logistikbude app, the drivers of the forwarding company scanned the glass elements at pickup and delivery on the construction site, making their whereabouts digitally traceable with a single click. Wiedmann:

"Our goal is to fully automate load carrier management so that no one has to handle it manually anymore. The software automatically sends a warning if the racks are not returned – and finally issues an automated charge if the agreed rental period is exceeded."

Additionally, the app could be used to take photos to document the condition of returned racks and any potential damage.

"In this way, Logistikbude promotes responsible handling of load carriers," Wiedmann adds. Currently, the forwarding company is testing the new processes together

with one of their customers using a fixed pool of load carriers. In the future, however, the delivery area is to be expanded and the number gradually increased, so that up to 4,000 racks can be managed with the help of Logistikbude.

Strategic DevelopmentAt Nagel-Group, for example, load carriers are managed at over 130 locations with the help of the startup. Hüning:

"Especially in the transport and logistics sector, where load carrier management is particularly demanding due to the core business, there is a need for an efficient, digital solution to relieve employees – and that's exactly what we can offer."

To meet the needs of forwarding customers, the software solution is constantly being adapted and optimized. Recently, for example, account statements from exchange partners could be uploaded directly to the platform, regardless of the file format. The software automatically processes the files and reconciles them with its own bookings, eliminating
