With denser direct connections between Europe and the USA, freight customers would gain more flexibility and transportation options, according to Lufthansa Cargo. With effect from August 1, 2025, Swiss WorldCargo will also officially join the alliance. Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo:

further improve service quality and are a step towards sustainable growth in a volatile and highly competitive market for Lufthansa Cargo and its partners.”
Close cooperation in freight traffic
In the past years, the air freight airline, together with United Cargo, had provided customers with a joint cooperation agreement. Both airlines would thus have the opportunity to collaborate in various areas such as sales, customer contact, and networks between the United States and Europe, it further states. They aim to cooperate in freight traffic between more than 200 destinations in the USA to Zurich and Frankfurt. Alain Chisari, Chairman of Swiss WorldCargo:
