When container changes occur quickly, quietly, and from a safe distance, modern roll-off technology pays off. Meiller targets exactly this area of application with the new roll-off tipper Tectrum RS21.70, which was presented along with the specially designed Tectrum Trailer at Bauma 2025.
According to Meiller, the Tectrum RS21.70 is aimed at operators who work in frequently changing locations and under tight time constraints. The vehicle is based on a
three-axle chassis and is designed for a permissible total weight of up to 28 tons. It is suitable for standardized containers and is tailored for use in the heavy-duty sector.
A central element of the solution is the i.s.a.r.-Control 3 remote control. This allows the driver to control all work movements from a safe distance while keeping an eye on the surroundings. The controls are arranged clearly and, as described
by the manufacturer, can be easily operated even with gloves. Automated program sequences are intended to help prevent operating errors and shorten the working cycle.
According to Meiller, additional advantages arise in combination with the Tectrum Trailer. Containers can be positioned, exchanged, or temporarily stored independently of the towing vehicle. Additional machines are not required for this. This is especially intended to simplify processes for short stop times or scheduled
tours.
Technically, the RS21.70 offers a low construction height for higher stability. The components are bolted and therefore easier to maintain. The entire structure is protected against corrosion by a KTL dip coating. For additional operational safety, a hydraulic internal locking system is provided, which can be combined with an optional pneumatic under-ride protection.
Meiller sees the new solution as a practical response to the demands of transport companies in
