DHL Global Forwarding, Freight announces a change in the global leadership team: Markus Voss, currently Chief Development Officer at DHL Supply Chain, will succeed Uwe Brinks as the new CEO of DHL Freight on September 1, 2025. In his new role, Voss will report directly to Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, and will become a member of the division's management board.
Additionally, DHL is establishing a new European Transportation Board to deepen cross-divisional collaboration in land transport between DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight, and DHL Supply Chain. This board will consist of the CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Europe, the CEO DHL Freight, and the CEO of DHL Supply Chain EMEA.
Voss has been with DHL for over 20 years, most recently serving as Chief Development Officer responsible for sales and marketing, as well as leading global teams in Service Logistics, Solutions Design, and Strategic Growth Products.
At BHV-Bremische Hafen- und Logistikvertretung e.V., Eduard Dubbers-Albrecht is the new presidium member
and spokesperson of the presidium. The managing partner of Ipsen Logistics Holding GmbH & Co.KG is a former president of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Carsten Wendt, Head of Sales of the shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Bremen, strengthens the executive board as another new member. The new presidium thus consists of Eduard Dubbers-Albrecht (spokesperson), Patric Drewes, and Christoph Holtkemper, who was also newly appointed to the presidium. Holtkemper will also continue as the association's treasurer. Christoph Bruns and Werner Pöser were bid farewell from the presidium. In addition to the new member Carsten Wendt, the board of BHV still includes Jens Juknischke, Patrick Rehberg, and Stefan Schultze. Stefan Meyer will also take on the role of secretary in the future.
Change in the management of the Northrail Group: The shareholders of the Northrail Group and Michael Trentzsch, formerly Chief Investment Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, have reportedly reached an amicable agreement to end their employment relationship. Trentzsch has been part
of the corporate group since 2015. Most recently, he was responsible for Investment Management & Business Development, sales, law, as well as marketing & communication. Trentzsch's duties will initially be assumed by Dr. Volker Simmering, who will temporarily represent both Northrail GmbH and Northrail Investment Management GmbH alone, it is said.
Thomas Peckruhn is the new president of the Zentralverband Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe (ZDK). He succeeds Arne Joswig, who stepped down from his office immediately at the end of May 2025 for family reasons after nearly two years. Michael Kraft was elected as the new vice president, succeeding Peckruhn. He will also continue as treasurer of the ZDK. In a board meeting of the Zentralverband des Kraftfahrzeughandwerks (ZVK), Kraft was removed from his role as treasurer. ZVK's new treasurer is now ZVK board member Jeffrey Kilian. To succeed the departing board members Johann Gesthuysen and Dirk Weddigen von Knapp, the members’ assembly elected Fabio Krause, Managing Director of the Ford Partnerverband, and Alexander
Sauer-Wagner, Chairman of the Volkswagen and Audi Partnerverband, to the ZDK board.
Geodis announces the appointment of Laura Ritchey as President & CEO of the Americas region. According to the announcement, she will also serve as a member of the group's board, chaired by Marie-Christine Lombard, Chief Executive Officer of Geodis. As President & CEO, Ritchey is to oversee the management and growth of the various business areas in North and South America, including Contract Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Transport.Most recently, Ritchey was CEO at Radial; before that, she held leadership roles at L Brands, Fullbeauty Brands, and Centric Brands. She is a board member of Goodwill Manasota in Florida and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Fisher College of Business of Ohio State University. Ritchey succeeds Mike Honious, who is retiring. Honious will support Marie-Christine Lombard in an advisory capacity during the transition and will continue to hold director roles at the Geodis Foundation and the Geodis Compassion
