David Bang has taken over the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Americas region at LX Pantos. He leads approximately 2,000 employees in North and South America. Previously, he served as Global Chief Commercial Officer at JAS Worldwide and was responsible for expanding the global presence in various industries. He worked for more than two decades at DHL, where he founded and led a joint venture with Lufthansa Cargo for temperature-controlled biopharma logistics. He is also a member of several corporate boards in the technology sector.
The Rhenus Group has appointed Joachim Hanssen as Chief Executive Officer for the Asia-Pacific region. The area of responsibility also includes Greater China, Central Asia, and Turkey. Alberto Martinez will take over the leadership of the Europe region
from October. He succeeds Markus Lingohr, who will retire in 2026. Martinez is stepping down from his role as head of the global sea freight business. Effective 25 September 2025, Renee Toh will assume this position. Toh has extensive experience in global sea freight and trade management, most recently as Head of Sea Freight Procurement at CEVA Logistics.
At the Nosta Group, Christian Böttcher has taken over as Chief Operating Officer Air & Ocean. He succeeds Ivo Aris, who left for personal reasons at the end of July. Böttcher has more than 25 years of leadership experience in international freight and logistics companies. His career stops included Leschaco, UTi Worldwide, Röhlig Logistics, and Atlantic Forwarding. He was responsible for extensive reorganization and transformation projects, including
the operation of large sea freight volumes and the management of national companies with several hundred employees.
The BLG Group has appointed Arlene Bühler as Chief Information Officer. She will take up the position on November 1, 2025, and will move from DB Cargo, where she served as Chief Information and Chief Digital Officer, leading the company's digitalization. This included building an agile product organization, introducing cloud-based platforms, and implementing AI-driven solutions in customer management, planning, and disposition. Bühler has more than 20 years of international experience in IT-driven corporate development. Previous career stops included Deutsche Bahn, the Volkswagen Group, and and Siemens.
